Just because you can now walk without limping does not mean that the tissues don't have micro-tears that need time to repair.

This is NOT the time to go running. Give yourself a well-earned rest. Active rest is good but no need for anything long. Just enjoy walking, cycling gently or swimming.

Your immune system may well be well below maximum. Any extra stress will leave you open to infection or injury.

Eat well and try to sleep more.

Gentle running into the second or third week should help you ease back.

    Enjoy it!
