What is BBCode?\nWhen composing messages to other members, or posting to the forums, you may choose to enhance your message by applying formatting using BBCode syntax. BBCode is a tag based language, commonly used on internet forums, devised to provide a safer, easier and more controlled way of allowing users to format their messages. You only need to know the basics of BBCode to quickly enhance your messages. We also provide a tool bar to make formatting your messages even quicker.\n\n\nBBCode Examples\nBBCode tags are similar in style to HTML tags, but they are enclosed in square braces [ and ]. To use a tag, simply enclose the text you wish to format with the open and close BBCode tags.\n\nAs an example here is how you would make text bold:\n\nBBCode: The quick [b]brown fox[/b] jumped over the lazy dog\nResult: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog\n\nHere is how you would embed a link to another site:\n\nBBCode: See more on [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode]wikipedia[/url]\nResult: See more on wikipedia\n\nYou can nest BBCode tags to apply two or more styles at once:\n\nBBCode: This is both [color=red][i]red and italic[/i][/color]\nResult: This is both red and italic\n\n\nWhere can I use BBCode?\nYou can use BBCode when composing messages, creating or replying to posts and in your signature.\n\nBBCode Tag Reference\nWe only use a small subset of BBCode on Women\'s Running. Below you will find a description of each tag we support. Each of these tags is also available using the toolbar on the compose message/compose post screen. We recommend you use this weher possible\n\nBold Text: [b]text[/b]\nThis tag makes the text bold.\n\nItalicised Text: [i]text[/i]\nThis tag makes the text italicised.\n\nUnderlined Text: [u]text[/u]\nThis tag makes the text underlined.\n\nImage: [img]url-to-image[/img]\nThis tag displays the image as provided by the url. We recommend you use the toolbar to insert this tag.\n\nIf you wish to upload photos to be included in your post then we recommend you use a dedicated free service such as http://www.imagechicken.com, http://photobucket.com or http://www.postimage.org. You can upload images to these and they provide the link to the image to insert into the tag.\n\nHyperlink: [url]link[/url] -or- [url=link]caption[/url]\nUse this tag to provide a link to another website. One to enclode the bullets, and then a tag for each individual bullet.\n\n\nList of Items:\n\n[list=start-number]\n[*] List Item 1\n[*] List Item 2\n[/list]\n\nLists are like bullets but are numebred sequentially.
