Orchid 5K blue river run
London Marathon week is fast approaching but if the thought of 26.2 miles is a daunting one, there's a shorter challenge in the capital that you might want to try.
The Orchid 5K Blue River Run takes place on Wednesday April 13 at 6pm in aid of the male cancer charity Orchid. Orchid is the UK’s only charity focused exclusively on male-specific cancers, aiming to raise awareness for the 37,000 men diagnosed with cancer each year.The run starts and finishes at Paternoster Square and the course will take runners along the River Thames and past some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Orchid are encouraging runners to come dressed in the charity’s signature colour - blue - to show their support with prizes on offer for those who come dressed more adventurously!To take part, runners need to submit a £10 entrance fee and all those who sign up receive a free t-shirt.
