'Barefoot is how I prefer to run,' he says. 'I do run in minimalist shoes and normal shoes but given the choice I'll go unshod where I can. 'So far I have completed a five-miler, two 10Ks and a half-marathon barefooted. After my barefoot half-marathon I rewarded my right foot with a 'Thirteen Point One' tattoo and I am looking to complete a full so I can reward my left foot with a 'Twenty Six Point Two' tattoo! If I can find a tattoo parlour near the MK marathon that’s open then I'll try and get it done straight after the event.'

Happy New Year and I hope all you campers had a fantastic Christmas season.
