Hi all Been doing a few tougher effort races lately (xc) and have noticed at the end of each I have a sulphurous/blood taste. It also takes a day or so for my chest to get back to normal and stop coughing. I've had this before with extreme efforts but I also notice that my breathing is a great deal louder (like a steam train apparently), and wondered if I'm doing any damage, but also someone suggested I might have asthma. Likely do you think?

I don't want to be alarmist but a call to your GP might be a good idea.

Even if it is Asthma, that's not the end of the world. Speak to your GP and keep on running :) http://tentsmuir.wordpress.com/2012/06/10/running-with-asthma-diabetes/
