Lakeland trails series

I started to get fit earlier in the year specifically for the Para 10 race in Sept. Having run a ridiculous amount of miles whilst carrying 40lb of kit in a bergen I thought I should keep going so I registered for the 10k trail challenge at Coniston a few weeks ago. I'm so glad I did! It was superb, the marshals were very good and cheered us on all the way round, the fellow runners were very very friendly and the whole day merely served to confirm that running (and indeed running in the lake district on a gorgeous bright autumn day) is incredibly good for the soul (with some health benefits thrown in for good measure of course!!). I have now signed up for the Ullswater 14k and will let you know how that went but I've re-discovered my love for running, the messgae being? Find something to aim for, set a goal and get out there and run........you're not alone!!
