Had exactly the same a few weeks back! running today and had two runners up ahead giving directions to someone and blocking the pavement, one turned and saw me coming yet didn't go and stand by her friend, just carried on standing two abreast blocking the pavement?! I ended up side skipping between her and a wall to avoid the road!

Both very annoying, especially when trying to set a PB. Could be a feature in the mag - list of things that annoy you when you go running!

Oh come on,it's only a minute out of our way,we have watches we can stop & start again,if we don't stop & ignore the driver's who are lost we then have the crap of "Aren't runners ignorant" thrown at us,also driver's expect us to know where we are going.
To some point this is true,as we run on a lot of the roads within our city, weren't we taught by our parents to be courteous, come on guys it doesn't take a lot to give directions.

Aggressive Dogs. In the last 8 runs, I have had 6 occasions of barking dogs flying out of farms, gardens, or away from their owners in fields to chase me down. Looking in to a good dog repeller now, but none seem to get very good reviews. Any recommendations welcome!

    Hi,
New to the site. The most annoying thing I find about running is the unsociable folk out there! I run for a number of reasons, fitness, stress relief, enjoying the great outdoors and for the "natural high". One thing that confuses me....why so many unsociable runners out there? I did my long run today, the weather wasn't great but in 13 miles of road running only 1 other runner acknowledged me! So much for the positive hormones running generates!

I agree its got to be the posers, the sort of people you seen in American shows going for a run in Central Park. They are all around London and South East, its always midday when they know they are being watched. Guys if you have bought the gear go for a proper bloody run!
