Run Your Mouth Off

Not sure where to put this

  • Posted:
Ok, i just joined and made my introduction. Now I ask a question.
I am 6ft2, my girlfriend is 5ft2. she likes when I run with her. I don't like it. As I am taller I feel it is very difficult to and sore on my back to run with her. I run for catharsis, but its just stressful with her.
My question is HOW DO I TELL HER???

Any advice?, do I just stick with running with her?, do I just come out and tell her?, do I drop hints?

    Thanks
    Thomas

Why is it sore on your back when you run with her? Why does the hight difference have any bearing?
I am 6'4 and a good frien of mine runs with me, she is 5'2.
When we run, we chat away but keep looking ahead.
We generally keep to my pace too but occasionally I slow a little.

If anything, say to your good lady you want to run a certain speed of x minutes per mile. maybe she will do that speed, maybe she would want to let you go without her as she doesnt want to do that speed :o)

Ran Birmingham and Black Country half on Saturday, a 13 mile puddle but great fun!

Is it a case that you are running within yourself and striding naturally? You could juggle your training plan? Some solo speed training and cross country/hill running (for the summer at least)combined with the weekly 'couple run'. It is that or buy some outlandish running kit which may ensure solo outings! Not an easy one...
