Andy's story: Reading Dean Karnazes book 'Ultramarathon Man' inspired Andy to do something more than just run a marathon. Feeling like he had 'been there, done that', in terms of distance with marathons Andy was looking for a new challenge. Running the distance of nearly two marathons back-to-back fit the bill.  Andy first got the running bug at 21 when he and a group of friends ran the Great North Run together for charity after a girl he worked with died of Leukaemia aged just 18. Slowly progressing his running distances Andy also uses his running as a stress buster from his day job working with young offenders.
